RIT offers academic programs that make a difference. Our students can choose from over 240 different
programs that match the interests of budding scientists, engineers, and artists, to just name a few!
RIT requires all students to complete course work in the
liberal arts, with the goal of producing graduates who can balance an understanding of science and technology with social consideration. Our
College of Liberal Arts builds on the RIT tradition of career-oriented education for a rapidly changing world while developing your critical awareness of the interactions among people, science, technology, and the environment.
RIT offers a personal approach to learning. Our average class size is 25 and our student to faculty ratio is an outstanding 13:1. Many students agree that RIT is also very collaborative in their approach to learning and encourages group work between both students and faculty. Multidisciplinary research and design projects are also required for many RIT students. Read about a recent example
