CMS advisors recognize and value student diversity and therefore customize programs to fit your needs. Our academic advising role is to act as a mentor and advocate for you, as well as help you successfully complete your degree requirements. To that end, we are comitted to responding to you in a timely and effective manner.
As your advisor, we will:
Provide one-on-one advisement in a variety of ways (in person, phone or online)
Assist in identifying course work pertinent to your professional area(s) of interest
Connect you with other campus resources
Evaluate transfer, military, advanced placement, life experience, and exam credit
Inform you of any new program offerings
Respond in a timely and effective manner (2 business days or less)
As a student, you are ultimately responsible for your degree completion. Make sure you are aware of your degree requirements and that the course you take meet those requirements. If questions arise, contact your advisor immediately.
As a CMS student, you will:
Plan a course of study with your advisor
Prepare a resume and statement of educational and career goals
Complete an admissions application or change of program form
Request offical transcripts from other colleges that you have attended
