35 American University of Kosovo students participated in organizing and designing “The Photograph” exhibition. The event was co-organized by the Visual Arts Club of the American University of Kosovo (Getoar Krasniqi, President and Liridona Sopjani, Vice-President) and the Media Club of the American University of Kosovo (Drilon Llalloshi, President and Besfort Ahmeti, Vice-President).
The Photograph was the second annual student planned, student run, and professionally directed gallery exhibition at the American University of Kosovo. On exhibit were 182 printed and framed images and 56 electronic images that were submitted in response to a call for work asking individuals, "What does The Photograph mean to you in the 21st century?" The exhibit was held on February 16th in the American University of Kosovo Blue Space.
Michael Waschak and Daniel Cosentino were awarded a grant as part of the Provost’s Learning Innovation Grants (PLIG) program for the 2012-2013 academic year. Their project is titled “Multi-Campus Environmental Research and Media Collaboration”
Spring Term at RIT: We have two students from the American University of Kosovo and two from ACMT on the RIT campus for the spring
quarter as a part of the Spring Term at RIT program. The students are taking courses from across the RIT campus that they do not otherwise have access to at their home campuses. They are also enjoying many RIT club and extracurricular activities. The students are: Rita Saraci and Nart Orana from the American University of Kosovo and Jasenka Vucetic and Kristina Zalac from ACMT.
RIT Global had an exhibit at Imagine RIT called “Global Expo,” which was spread out across Global Village. Global Expo at Imagine RIT was a collaborative effort between Global Union, RIT Study Abroad, RIT Global Campuses, the English Language center and the Modern Languages and Cultures Department. Visitors will have an international experience that engages all senses through food, music, dance, language lessons and much more. The “Access Grid” was used to connect to our campuses in Kosovo, Croatia and Dubai. Students and faculty from our global campuses were able to share major projects and activities with visitors.
