Assistant Provost

The Assistant Provost reports to the Vice President for Academic Affairs and works closely with the areas below to enhance student, faculty and staff recruitment and retention.

The Assistant Provost is responsible for:

• Supporting institute-wide initiatives to enhance community and increase the diversity of students, faculty and staff.
• Assisting the Vice President for Academic Affairs in developing academic support and retention strategies for targeted student populations.
• Assisting each college and specific academic programs to support institutional goals and develop strategies for retaining students.
• Collaborating with the Senior Vice President of Enrollment Management and Career Services to assist in the implementation of recruitment strategies for underrepresented students.
• Assisting Human Resources on faculty and staff recruitment and retention.
• Performing research and analysis on retention initiatives undertaken in Academic Affairs.
• Increasing the diversity of RIT’s faculty and staff.
