Simple camera remotes are most often used in RIT auditoriums and in other venues around campus for non-instructional recording. They can also be scheduled for off campus recording on a limited basis. These types of remotes are most often used to provide simple documentation of an event with no editing or insertion of graphics with one camera and one microphone on the presenter with no additional lighting.

SETUP NOTE: RIT Production Services usually needs a minimum of one hour prior to the start of a simple camera event for setup and on half hour for tear-out. Please check with us to help determine what your reservation time requests should be when planning for production support.

Most simple recording requests are supported with a single microphone setup. Some rooms, auditoriums and lecture spaces require that we use an audio connection from the equipment available in the space and this will require additional staff support for your event.

A panel discussion recording request may require more than one microphone. We will help you make that determination and arrange for additional microphones and staff support if needed.

Audio services in Ingle Auditorium are requested through the RIT Tech Crew.
