Captioning Request Form

"Tips" for closed captioning requests for RIT owned tapes (ETC or college collections) for classroom use only:

  • Captioning of tapes used for instructional purposes will be funded by the institute
  • A "show date" is required in order to set priorities for the captioning schedule
  • The captioning process usually takes 2-3 weeks
  • All captioning will be "closed" unless requested otherwise
To request captioning for media, please complete this form. There is no charge to departments requesting this service if the media is for instructional use. Turnaround time is usually 2-3 weeks.
