What is the Office of Faculty Recruitment?
The Office of Faculty Recruitment provides support during the faculty hiring process by assisting the Provost, Deans, Department Chairs and Search Committee Members in establishing a pipeline of scholars that ultimately leads to an increase in African American, Native American, Latin American (AALANA) and women faculty at RIT.
Teaching, learning, scholarship, leadership development, and student success are the focus at RIT. Our office’s current efforts are focused on expanding the pool of applicants by attracting underserved populations to faculty positions that enrich our diverse educational community. The office nurtures these relationships by providing three key initiatives to foster RIT’s diversity goals: Faculty Job Referral Database; Future Faculty Career Exploration Program (FFCEP); and recruitment of diverse scholars.
