FROM THE PROVOST
Welcome to Rochester Institute of Technology and New Faculty Orientation (NFO)! You are joining a wonderful community of outstanding and accomplished faculty. Your arrival will continue to strengthen our departments and colleges, and contribute to both new and continuing initiatives—this is an exciting time to be joining RIT’s community! The Faculty Career Development Services (FCDS) team has coordinated an exciting NFO for you that will help you “hit the ground running.” NFO will introduce you to information, resources, and support areas that are critical for your success. NFO will be offered Wednesday, August 12, Thursday, August 13, and Friday, August 14. To register for NFO 2015, click on the REGISTER button to the right.
FCDS has designed additional opportunities to network with your new colleagues this year—including:
- Power Reception for new faculty where you will have the chance to meet RIT’s academic leaders (September 18).
- Grants Exposed! - Program Kick-off where you can hear from your fellow colleagues on RIT grant opportunities available to you (October 6).
- And the Faculty Success Series provides year-long opportunities to advance your career by growing your network, discovering resources at RIT, and enhancing your teaching and scholarship! Watch your email for details.
I expect this year to be filled with discovery, achievements, collegiality, fulfillment, and hopefully some fun!
