A message from Provost Jeremy Haefner

Tuesday, December 5, 2017

Colleagues,

As we are rapidly approaching the winter break, it is impressive to look back and see just how much our Division has accomplished during the fall semester. In the following newsletter, you will find stories of departments trying out new, student-based events and others continuing to build on successful models for their programs. Our degree-granting units, Golisano Institute for Sustainability and the School of Individualized Study, continue to make strides in awareness and recognition within the local community and abroad. Our global programs continue to grow, with exciting new collaborations and partnerships between RIT and universities in Southeast Asia. Meanwhile, the Honors Program and University Exploration (formerly University Studies) are helping students explore opportunities on campus, in their careers, and around the country. The Wallace Library and staff within my office have organized events to highlight, celebrate and enlighten the RIT community with exhibits, poster presentations and more.

A sincere thank you goes out to the staff, students and faculty within the Division of Academic Affairs for their hard work.

I hope you all have a wonderful holiday and a relaxing winter break.

Jeremy Haefner
Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs
