Teaching and Learning Services (TLS), a division within the Innovative Learning Institute, has recently hired 3 new employees to assist with the development of courses and course-related media.
- Katie Bush has been hired as an instructional technologist with an initial focus on the development of edX course material. Katie hails from RIT's School of Individualized Study, where she worked on course development as well as other academic endeavors. Katie comes to TLS with a great working knowledge of pedagogy and accessibility.
- Joe Janasiewicz has been hired as a video media specialist and will focus on the filming and editing of video for academic use. Joe's initial work will be in the area of video production for RIT's edX course offerings. Joe comes to RIT from Brooklyn, NY where he worked in the film industry in various roles. Additionally, he was a staff member at the New York film academy as a technical assistant.
- Clara Riedlinger joins the TLS team as a media production technician. Clara is responsible for the captioning of credit-bearing media and assists with video production and editing when required. Clara recently graduated from the Maryland Institute College of Art with a BFA in Film and Video and a concentration in sound.
