3^rd Annual Student Learning Outcomes Assessment Progress Report

Each academic degree program has been sent an email with a link to complete the progress report. Program submissions are due April 17, 2013. Please contact the SLOA Office at 475.2310 or visit the Student Learning Outcomes Assessment Progress Report web page if you have questions or need support.

Assessment is a Team Sport

A team (Leah Bradley, Sandi Connelly, Elizabeth Hane, and Anne Wahl) from RIT traveled to West Point, NY in April to present Assessment is a Team Sport at the 2013 Assessment Network of New York (ANNY) Conference. The presentation provided an overview of the Faculty Engagement Model that drives RIT’s General Education assessment practices. Click here to see the PowerPoint presentation.

Q2S: Assessing program level Student Learning Outcome’s (SLOs) during the transition to semesters

Be Strategic and Selective; focus on:

• 1–2 program level SLOs each year
• Courses/assignments in both quarter and semester programs (capstone, co-op, major project)
• Major elements of program level assessment plan (scoring guides, rubrics, analyze existing data)
• Creating opportunities for conversations about assessment data
