Academic Convocation will take place on Friday, May 19, 2017 from 12 - 2 pm in the Gordon Field House. This is an University-wide event and will feature the Commencement Speaker. SOIS students can attend as part of the audience, or can choose to join the University-wide procession of graduates into the Field House (cap & gown required). Line-up, required if participating in the procession, takes place at 11am outside of the Field House (details to be emailed to graduating students closer to the event).

The Commencement Reception for the School of Individualized Study will take place Saturday May 20th, 2017, 3:30-5pm, in the Davis Room, SAU (large cafeteria next to Ben & Jerry's). Light appetizers and refreshments will be provided and brief remarks from the Executive Director of SOIS, Dr. James Hall, will be made. Please feel free to join us any time! More information (including an RSVP invitation) will be emailed to the graduating students closer to the event date.
The Commencement Ceremony for SOIS will take place on Saturday, May 20, 2017 from 2:30-3:30 pm in the Gene Polisseni Center.
Line-up for all graduates (AAS, BS, MS, Advanced Certificate) is required and starts at 1:45 pm in the Eastman Lobby. Students will be led into the Gene Polisseni Center to begin the ceremonies. At line-up time, families and friends can begin to find seating in the Gene Polisseni Center.
Applications for Graduation must be submitted by April 15th in order for a student's name to be listed in the formal Commencement program. Students may submit applications through the "other academic" dropdown menu within their Student Information System account http://infocenter.rit.edu.
