Multicultural Center for Academic SuccessThe Multicultural Center for Academic Success (MCAS) is committed to maximizing the academic potential and holistic development of students by creating an inclusive, student-centered environment. By keeping academics first and foremost, MCAS strives to become a nationally recognized model for academic excellence and student success.
Academic CoachingAcademic Coaching is a free service that introduces students in more effective learning and study strategies. Students work 1:1 with a Student Support Specialist to enhance time management and study habits as well as learn of important resources on campus.
myRITmyRIT is Rochester Institute of Technology's portal providing the RIT community a customizable web page that can be personalized with news, services, resources, and access to online courses. Students can personalize their page by adding “portlets” that display information like the campus event calendar or allow them to view the balance of and add money to their food or flex account.
Student Information System (SIS)SIS allows students to access their personal information like GPA, exam schedule, course listings, and financial aid information. In addition, students can register for classes and report unmet academic needs using this system.
RIT Schedule MakerCreated by RIT students, this is a very helpful resource when trying to organize the next semester's schedule. All the student needs to do is input the course numbers and activities they need to fit into their schedule and the Schedule Maker will create a schedule with all of the elements specified.
Office of the RegistrarThe Office of the Registrar maintains the official academic records for current and former students. The office publishes the Schedule of Courses; coordinates registration; issues ID cards; schedules classrooms; produces the final exam schedule; handles all corrections to student data; verifies enrollment and degrees; processes transcript requests; and prepares and mails diplomas.
AdmissionRIT's Offices of Undergraduate Admissions and Graduate and Part-Time Enrollment oversee the admissions process, receive applications, and conduct campus tours and orientation sessions for new students.
NTIDThe National Technical Institute for the Deaf (NTID) is the world’s first and largest technological college for students who are deaf or hard of hearing. As one of eight colleges within Rochester Institute of Technology, NTID provides excellent academic programs; outstanding access and support services; and diverse educational, social, and personal development opportunities for students.
Office of Financial AidRIT’s Office of Financial Aid assists students and their families in identifying sources of financial aid to help meet the cost of a quality education. Currently, more than 12,000 RIT students receive over $160 million dollars in financial assistance from federal, state, and institutional resources, in the form of scholarships, grants, loans, and part-time employment.
Housing OperationsRIT Housing Operations places students in RIT housing: the dorms, on-campus apartments, and the RIT Inn. They also have listings for students looking for roommates for on and off campus housing.
Wallace LibraryRIT's Wallace Library has a number of online resources like a wide range of subject databases, online account access, the digital media library, and an "e-brary" which contains the full text of a number of books, accessible online for all RIT students, faculty, and staff.
Campus Safety & ParkingThe office of Campus Safety handles emergencies and disturbances, but also houses parking and transportation services. To get an RIT parking pass, students must register their car with the office of Campus Safety.
Student Health CenterThe mission of the Student Health Center is to provide health care, support and education for students. Among their services are immunizations and nutritional counseling. Professional staff are here not only to take care of you when you are sick, but also to help you learn to prevent illness and maintain good health.
Career Services & Cooperative EducationThe Office of Career Services & Cooperative Education provides students and alumni with information about job opportunities, co-op opportunities, and general resources about searching for a job (resume writing, interviews).
