Peer Mentors

A Study Abroad (SA) Peer Mentor is a student who has studied abroad in the past and works with the study abroad office to share their experiences with other students preparing to go abroad. Peer mentors have volunteered their time to help better prepare you for your study abroad experience whether that is through emailing, talking on the phone, or even meeting up for coffee at Javas. Our peer mentors are students who loved their study abroad experience and want nothing more than to help you make yours just as incredible. They can help you think about any new culture, what it’s like to study abroad, feel culture shock or be home sick. They can also tell you about what to do outside of the classroom, what places you should visit in your city or what the academic culture is like abroad.

See what our peer mentors have to say in the Current Peer Mentors section, find a peer mentor that went to your country in the Contact a Peer Mentor section or, if you have already returned from your study abroad, check out what being a peer mentor entails by visiting our Become a Peer Mentor page.
