The TLS Classroom Support team supports several audiovisual and technology initiatives across RIT. We focus on managing and maintaining learning spaces across campus. Using institutional resources, the primary objective of the Classroom Support team is maintaining a consistent teaching experience for faculty among classrooms.
The Classroom Support team has developed a set of standards for classroom technology and provides technical support, regular maintenance, and equipment updates. Although TLS officially supports and tracks only a fraction of campus learning spaces, we promote consistency across campus by collaborating with and consulting with many colleges and departments.

Faculty can receive training on any classroom AV equipment that we supply or support so you can take care of many technical problems that occur in the classroom, minimizing delays and lost class time.

The TLS Classroom Technology team consults with faculty and staff on classroom technology installations and upgrades and A/V projects for other spaces around campus.
TLS Classroom Project Management Services include:
- Developing project scope and timeline
- Documenting classroom technology needs analysis
- Working with Procurement to bid projects to vendors
- Reviewing bids and selecting vendors
- Managing installation teams
- Testing and reviewing system completeness
