very UWP project goes through five phases of production that allow us to
deliver custom solutions on time and on budget. Step 1: Requirements gathering We start every project by listening to our clients. You'll fill out a Web Client Questionnaire to help us determine your audience, your objectives, and the scope of the project. Then we'll meet with you to review the questionnaire and discuss constraints such as time, budget, and staffing. Step 2: Project plan and site map A detailed project plan provides these raw ideas with shape and direction. We will look at your project within the context of RIT's existing Web management and brand strategies. You will receive a project plan document in writing to clarify the project's requirements. We will then work on your site's information architecture. We organize the site into its logical components, outlining navigational structures and working out crucial site elements. We will provide you with a visual site map that shows how the site will be organized. The site map allows us to assign tasks and set roles for the following phases. Step 3: Site design and page development With an approved site map, we then create a design concept and graphical navigation scheme for your site. You must approve the design concept and navigation before we begin the actual development of Web pages. During page development, we gather text and photos, develop graphics, and place information into your site. You play a crucial role during this phase by supplying content and reviewing Web pages before final testing. Step 4: Testing and evaluation We test your site to ensure that it is accessible across platforms, browsers, and systems. We also proofread your text to make sure it conforms to RIT writing style guidelines. You must sign-off at this stage before we go live with your site. Step 5: Launch and maintenance After your site is launched, our focus shifts to marketing and maintenance. We provide complimentary posters and an e-mail letter that you can distribute to publicize your site. If you are interested in a broader online presence, we can register your site with search engines. We also can maintain your site for you or teach your employees how to use the software required for site maintenance. Contact UWP Today! |
