The date of the meeting is Friday October 21, 12:30. We will also ask Mike Lutz if we could join him in his other college-level meetings.

President Policano also announced that the Academic Senate has invited the AAUP officials to present an overview of their recent re-organization. The date for this is not set, but will take place sometime between Thanksgiving and the holiday break.

Change of Meeting Date
To accommodate all AAUP officers, beginning in this winter quarter we will change our monthly meeting date to the first Fridays of the month, 1-2pm, at the same location.

New York State Conference
Secretary Serravallo will notify the NYS Conference of AAUP of our new Chapter officers.

Dues and Funds
Treasurer Worman will look into the state of our chapter dues and existing funds.

Past Achievements
Vice President Naud will identify the past achievements of the RIT AAUP chapter. These will be put on the Chapter's website.

Pressing Issues for the Online Issues Forum
The growing emphasis on research will be placed on the issues forum. This includes the vague definitions by the president and provost regarding "teaching, service and practice," (see discussion in the forum at: http://www.rit.edu/affiliate/aaup/forum/viewtopic.php?id=9) the scholarship of pedagogy, applications of faculty research to the classroom and the growth of and proper definition of "trophy" faculty who are hired as researchers.

Upward appraisals and policy regarding no-confidence evaluations was also proposed to be put on the issues forum.

Other
Treasurer Worman will provide pictures of the 2005 Labor Day Parade to be put on the RIT AAUP website
