OLD BUSINESS
University Policy Review and Development (UPRD) Activities
This task force is meeting weekly and making significant recommendations towards the clarification and reorganization of RIT Faculty Classifications.

Classroom Space Issues
Provost Haefner has established a committee to review and advise him on classroom needs at RIT

NEW BUSINESS
Adjunct Survey – still under development. A few redundent questions will be reworked.

RIT Academic Calendar Options
President Policano created 23 surveys to support faculty input on the RIT Calendar Option. These surveys will be made available to faculty from 1/4-1/11/10 and the results will be shared directly to AS senators as additional input.

RIT Wallace Center Faculty Contact [PDF]
The linked document (removed 8/31/11) includes al of the Wallace Center faculty support contacts by college. This was shared as part of a presentation by Lynn Wild to Academic Senate. These resources are engergetic and well informed. They comprise a terrific resource to junior facuty non-tenure track faculty and part-time faculty as well as tenured faculty.

Tenure Track Junior Faculty Expectations Contract
Upon hire faculty receive a letter similar to that linked to here. By signing that letter the facutly member acknowledges teir being informed about and agreement to comply with the RIT Policies & Procedures Manual. This includes "virtually" making an Oath of Allegiance (E3.0) to "...support the Constitution of the United States of America and the Constitution of the State of New York..."

President Policano adjourned meeting @ 1PM.
