Erica Hernandez is Assistant to the Director for the New York State Pollution Prevention Institute (NYSP2I) at Rochester Institute of Technology. She is the first point of contact for the NYSP2I and provides program and administrative support to its staff. Hernandez also serves as the program manager for the Community Grants Program and the Client Recognition Program, is the editor of the NYSP2I newsletter and is a member of the Institute's marketing team.
Prior to joining NYSP2I, Hernandez worked for six years as a lead-based paint risk assessor and project manager for Proway Management Corporation where she conducted lead based paint and risk assessments throughout Upstate New York for federal, county and city governments. Hernandez also served as a mediator for four years at the Consumer Fraud and Protection Bureau of the New York State Attorney General's Office.
Hernandez has a BS in management information systems with a minor in criminal justice from RIT. Erica is also an EPA certified Lead-Based Paint Risk Assessor.
