The programs and services offered by the NYSP2I range from directly working with companies in developing cost-effective and environmentally preferable solutions to providing financial and technical support to community organizations on projects that raise awareness in pollution prevention and sustainability.
Direct Client Assistance Program

Research and Development
With a total of 16 testbeds, NYSP2I’s four partner universities — Rochester Institute of Technology, Clarkson University, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and University at Buffalo specialize in conducting research to find innovative solutions to industry’s environmental challenges.

Life Cycle Assessment (LCA)
NYSP2I provides services for companies looking to reduce the environmental impact of a product itself. For companies interested in a holistic approach to product stewardship, NYSP2I provides life cycle assessments as well as third-party peer reviews, in accordance with ISO 14040 international LCA standards.
Sustainable Supply Chain and Technology Program
NYSP2I helps position New York State manufacturers to take advantage of global sustainable manufacturing/green supply chain opportunities.
