Introduction

College of Applied Science and Technology:
Innovative, Entrepreneurial, Global

What does industry want today? What does industry want tomorrow?

RIT’s College of Applied Science and Technology, also known as “CAST”, is one of the most unique and innovative colleges in the world. At the heart of every CAST program is a commitment to preparing students to be innovative, technologically advanced, and entrepreneurial. That means constantly reinventing the College by updating programs and creating new, multi-disciplinary programs. Students can even design their own degree programs.

The result is a college filled with diverse, technologically-focused programs that prepare students for cutting-edge careers. Students come to CAST from around the world, and with programs in Croatia, Kosovo and the Dominican Republic, the College goes to students around the world.

CAST also collaborates with leading businesses in its centers of innovation to provide technological solutions for industry. These partnerships keep the College’s faculty, staff, and students involved in hands-on applications and keep curricula and facilities on the cutting edge.
