Academic Programs
Businesses are changing faster than ever before. It’s a real challenge for academia to keep up. But in the College of Applied Science and Technology, we embrace this change. It is our lifeblood. Preparing students for fulfilling careers by anticipating the needs of industry is our mission, our purpose.
At first glance, many of our programs appear to be unrelated. What do civil engineering technology, hotel and resort management and computer graphics have in common? A closer look reveals that they all prepare students for the jobs of the future. Their future.
In a sense, we are redefining education.
CAST programs aren’t fixed; they are dynamic. We work closely with industry leaders in our centers of innovation and on our advisory committees. They tell us we need to lead, not follow, the marketplace. Their companies need technology-focused graduates with multiple skills. So our programs draw from many disciplines and emphasize communications and flexibility.
Our students are given many options for completing their education including on-campus courses, online courses, part-time studies and co-operative education. Students can even have a degree designed just for them. And we are international with programs in Croatia, the Dominican Republic, Kosovo and China.
Our world will be much different tomorrow than it is today. And graduates of the College of Applied Science and Technology will lead the way.
