The College of Applied Science and Technology (CAST) encourages current students, alumni, parents and friends to stay connected with us no matter where you are today or where the future may lead you.

As alumni, you are all connected through the RIT Alumni Network and are encouraged to attend College and Institute events – both on campus and in your area – and to take advantage of the many benefits and services offered.

Alumni Online Community

RIT’s Alumni Online Community offers a comprehensive package of internet-based services for alumni to reconnect, exchange ideas, and access networking information. Alumni can update their contact information, search for fellow graduates, and sign up for an RIT affinity email address. To register, go to www.alumniconnections.com/rit.

Benefits

CAST and the RIT Alumni Network offer many great benefits to alumni. These benefits include hotel discounts, auto, home and life insurance discounts, moving discounts, affinity credit card, cell phones and services, and a special travel club. Services

Our alimni are eligible for many services. The Alumni Virtual Store (http://bookstore.rit.edu) allows you to shop online for RIT apparel, office items, and special gifts. A discounted membership is available to alumni, spouses and dependents for the Gordon Field House and Activities Center, which has a fully equipped fitness center, aquatic center, as well as racquetball, basketball, and tennis courts.

The Office of Co-op and Career Services offers career assistance including access to online job postings, campus interviews, career counseling, and other resources. In addition, RIT offers a variety of learning options to alumni who want to continue their education. The Office of Part-Time and Graduate Enrollment can work with you to design a customized program. In the event of job loss, the Professional Re-employment Education Program (PREP) offers a 60 percent tuition discount for one year to qualified individuals.

The Wallace Memorial Library invites alumni to participate in online courses and workshops. The library allows you to borrow books and videos, and to utilize computer workstations with the latest software and equipment. For access to the Wallace Memorial Library, obtain your alumni ID from the Registrar in person, by fax or by mail. For hours and contact information, visit the Office of the Registrar website.

Activities

Alumni events offer graduates the opportunity to stay connected to each other and to RIT. The RIT Alumni Network and CAST sponsor events that are social, cultural, athletic, and educational which take place on campus, in Rochester, and across the country. CAST encourages you to join these unique opportunities to network with fellow alumni and to continue your relationship with the College and the Institute.
