MS in Telecommunications Engineering Technology

Overview

The telecommunications graduate major will accommodate individuals with both technical and non-technical baccalaureate degrees who are seeking graduate education to help them advance into managerial and leadership roles in the dynamic telecommunications environment. This degree major is available in traditional on-campus education. Telecommunications graduate courses are generally offered during the day. All students complete a Comprehensive Exam or, if proposed by the student and approved by the faculty, a project or thesis.  A full-time student taking at least 4-5 courses a semester may be able to complete the degree within one year.  Part-time students taking 1-2 courses a semester should be able to complete the degree in 2-4 years.  The time for degree completion varies with each student’s specific needs and circumstances as well as the complexity of the project or thesis, if so approved.

Industrial Advisory Board

The MS program in Telecommunications Engineering Technology is reviewed each year by the program’s Industrial Advisory Board (IAB). The IAB is comprised of industry professionals, including former program graduates, who review the curriculum and program outcomes and provide recommendations to assure the program is vital and addresses the expectations of employers who hire program graduates.
