Primary Functions of Lab

This laboratory employs upper level students involved in, primarily, plastics and innovative packaging research. It is not unusual to have collaborative efforts with the college of Science as well.  

Equipment and Highlights

Some of the specialized equipment includes (but is not limited to):

• Tensile testers with Liquid Nitrogen controlled environmental chambers
• Permeability testers for both nitrogen and oxygen gasses through plastic films
• Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy
