About The College
The College of Applied Science and Technology (CAST) at RIT has a long-standing reputation of excellence and innovation. Established in 1972, it is one of the Institute’s largest colleges enrolling approximately one-fifth of all the students at RIT. The college offers a myriad of dynamic programs—ranging from hospitality, nutrition and service management, health systems administration, human resource development, packaging science, environmental management and safety, engineering technology, and the Army and Air Force ROTC. This interdisciplinary approach to career-focused education and experiential learning, coupled with international study opportunities, provides our students the very best in academic resources and programming. Additionally, students can take advantage of on-line learning options and earn their degree totally online! We are proud of the collaborative spirit that fuses the diversity of our varied disciplines together and connects our college’s community to support our students’ success!
