• Reviewing health and benefits new business prospect application information for accuracy and completion.
• Facilitating sales submission and quotation process associated with the National and Upstate NY Health insurance sales initiatives.
• Assessing degree of risk and exposure to individual client health insurance claims within the context of the Paychex Business Solutions Professional Employer Organization (PEO) Group Health Insurance program. Making selection and rejection decisions on PEO prospect health insurance applicants.
• Interacting with agency and PEO Sales organizations to assure compliance with insurance carrier underwriting and group eligibility requirements.
• Negotiating with insurance carrier underwriters on individual cases to secure the most comprehensive and competitive quotation terms, conditions, and pricing.
• Acting as a liaison between the carrier and client to resolve routine questions and requests for information from the carrier.
• Providing product and industry technical support and expertise; serving as a resource reference to Paychex Agency Sales

• Required Skills/ Education:

  Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 years experience in underwriting, selling or marketing, health and benefits insurance are required.  The equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.  A Life, Accident & Health agent or broker license is required.
