Human Resources Benefits Representative

Major Responsibilities:
Proactively advises corporate and field employees on employee benefits. Manages and coordinates benefit eligibility and maintains benefit records for employees. Audits and reconciles benefits invoices.
Responsibilities
- Responds to inquiries from corporate and field personnel regarding benefit issues.
- Develops and distributes employee communication programs regarding benefits to include planner news and open enrollment.
- Coordinates eligibility for all benefits for employees including but not limited to medical, dental, disability, long term disability, life insurance, tool insurance, 401(k).
- Maintains benefit administration records for 401(K), life insurance and AD&D, short-term and long term disability in the HRIS system.
- Audits benefit invoices for all benefits, makes necessary adjustments as needed.
- Prepares reports, as requested, concerning benefit enrollment and eligibility.
- Assists in pension administration including but not limited to: Yearly data collection, pension distributions and any compliance issues.
- Assists with 401(k) profit sharing processing including but not limited to: Monthly remits, loans, hardship requests, Non Discrimination testing and other compliance issues.
- Reviews employee referrals and approves for payment.
Assists with the Human Resources daily, quarterly and special reporting of information to internal and external customers. - Assists with special projects including, but not limited to: United Way Campaign, Awards Banquet, and Headquarters Parties.
- Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:
H.S. Diploma and two years Human Resources experience with an emphasis in benefit management and/or disability processing; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be proficient with various computer hardware and software to include, but not limited to, Word, Excel, and database management. AS400 and Access experience preferred.
Other Skills
Excellent interpersonal skills, well organized, detail oriented and able to work in a fast pace environment.
