Compensation Analyst

Overview:

The Compensation Analyst is responsible for supporting Human Resources with all aspects of setting compensation and executing incentive policy, procedures, practices, and programs for associate, counsel, paralegal, exempt, and nonexempt staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Supports the head of compensation in developing total rewards philosophy and plans.
  • Develops, implements, administers compensation plans for associate, counsel, paralegal, exempt and nonexempt. Is in charge of calculating all financial simulations before changes are implemented.
  • Conducts surveys and studies labor markets to determine compensation trends. Develop recommendations to integrate market data in NP compensation schemes.
  • Review current job analysis system and develop improvement recommendations. Analyzes jobs, reviews job descriptions and specifications to ensure compliance with state and federal requirements for employment classifications where applicable.
  • Applies job evaluation techniques to establish equitable compensation rates within the organization as compared with rates in the industry.
  • Analyzes government regulations to ensure company policies are in compliance.
  • Reviews classification and compensation changes and makes recommendations with respect to tasks to be performed, qualifications of employee, and company policy and budgetary limitations.
  • Provides guidance and makes recommendations to chiefs, directors, and managers on all compensation issues; interprets local, state, and federal laws regulating compensation practices.

Job Requirements:

  • Five or more years of relevant experience in compensation- related position is required, preferably in a professional services environment
  • Sound business judgment
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Solid written and oral communication skills
Outstanding planning and organization skills, including demonstrated ability to manage multiple, complex projects concurrently
