Curriculum Requirements
The Service Leadership and Innovation programs include a minimum of 48-quarter credit hours of graduate credit (36 obtained from RIT), including thesis or project work. The basic curriculum is a combination of required courses, professional options and electives. A project or thesis is required.
Common Core for two MS Programs
The MS programs in Service Management and Hospitality–Tourism Management share the same core courses. Core courses introduce the major concepts associated with all aspects of Service Management whether they are applied specifically to the hospitality-tourism industries, or to the wider service amalgam. This commonality becomes even more evident when the nature of the concepts is depicted. Strategic issues surrounding service sector organizations, human capital development mechanisms, broad characteristics and elements of service, applied research features, and more are common concepts.
