Multiple Tenure Track Positions in the Department of Manufacturing and Mechanical Engineering Technology/Packaging Science
RIT’s Manufacturing and Mechanical Engineering Technology/Packaging Science (MMET/PS) department is currently seeking applications from exceptional candidates for several full-time, tenure-track positions. Candidates will be expected to teach courses via traditional classroom and distance learning formats. Responsibilities include course and laboratory development and delivery; service on department, college, and institute committees; and maintenance of professional and technical capabilities through research, development, and scholarly activities. Three years relevant industrial experience is required as is an MS in mechanical, manufacturing, or a related engineering technology or engineering discipline. A PhD or earned doctorate is preferred.

- PC 2653 - Product design and development, robust degisn, and tolerance analysis
- PC 9315 - Product design, CAD, GD&T, and CAE
The MMET/PS department has 25 full-time faculty, more than 30 part-time faculty, and almost 900 students. The department continues to grow, with its entering class doubling over the past five years. MMET/PS offers four Bachelor of Science and two Master of Science degree programs through its on-campus, online, and executive leader formats. Each program uses a wide variety of innovative project- and research-based learning approaches to prepare students in their field of study and requires co-operative industrial experience. RIT and the department have a strong career focus and thus an outstanding record of successfully preparing students for industry.
