Scholarly Works > Recent Scholarship
The College of Applied Science and Technology continued on a path of maturation of scholarship during 2007-8 under the theme of "Collaborative Opportunities." The Scholarship Committee hosted three successful colloquiums, including the first to have a student speaker. Major efforts included funding of almost $142,000 of internal funding for scholarship in the form of Scholarship Incentive Grant (SIG) applied course releases and support, creation of over two hundred scholarly products, and fourteen proposals resulting in approximately $345,000 in external funding. Initiatives to increase scholarly activity and recognition resulted in creation of a new draft process guidance appendix for CAST entitled, "Attaining Full Participation in Scholarship Among CAST Faculty" that is currently under review.
