Malarvizhi (Malar) Hirudayaraj, Ph.D., is an assistant professor in the Service Systems Department. She began her career at RIT in 2014 and previously was an instructor for the McNair Program at Southern Illinois University. Her research interests include diversity: higher education and corporate America; equity and social justice issues in graduate employability, with special focus on first-generation graduates and digitized recruitment processes. Hirudayaraj is an active member of AHRD- Academy of Human Resource Development, ACTE-Association of Career & Technical Education, ASTD- American Society of Training and Development and SHRM- Society of Human Resource Management. She has been awarded with the Chancellor’s Dissertation Research Award (2012), Workforce Education and Development Academic Excellence Award (2011& 2012), John Cone Student Scholar, ASTD (2011) and was selected and trained by United Nations (International Labor Organization) on Youth Development & Youth Employability.
