Organized by Rochester Institute of Technology's School of Photographic Arts and Sciences (SPAS), participants will work side-by-side with critically acclaimed faculty and have access to extraordinary facilities and equipment while visiting one of the world's best and most established photography schools. Courses in PHOTO UNIVERSITY are non-crediting bearing. The 2013 Summer Program reflects SPAS's continuing commitment to provide exciting photographic topics for practitioners of all levels, from the high school student to the professional. The courses all have a significant practical hand's on approach provided in a relaxed, enriched environment. PHOTO UNIVERSITY is offered on the campus of Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, NY, long heralded as the "Image Capital of the World." Participants can revel in the unique creative community that envelops Rochester and the RIT campus during the summer months, with its plethora of arts and music festivals, galleries and museums, and lake and wine country. Courses will take place both off and on campus. The primary location for courses will be the facilities of the School of Photographic Arts and Sciences in Frank E. Gannett Hall, with its peerless digital labs, shooting studios, and workspaces.
