Day of Photography (November 9, 2018)

As the world of photography continues to evolve, the Photo School at RIT is at the forefront of photographic education. We invite you to spend a day visiting the world renown School to hear about the experience from current students and our award-winning faculty.

Schedule:

8:30am - 9:00am Registration, coffee, and refreshments
9:00am - 9:15am Welcome & Announcement of RIT Photo Prize Winners
9:15am - 9:30am Careers and Co-operative Education at RIT
9:30am - 10:15am Panel: RIT Photo School Overview & Alumni Highlights
10:15am - 10:30am Break
10:30am - 11:30am Panel: RIT Photo Student Experience
11:30am - 12:30pm Photo School Tour (Gannett)
12:30pm - 1:15pm Lunch with Photo School Faculty
1:30pm - 4:00pm Afternoon Activities:
  • Gannett Hall: Portraits, Prints, Gear Demos, Portfolio Reviews, and Classroom Visits
  • Campus Tours: RIT Photo Store, Photo House, And Wallace Center
  • Opportunities to speak with reps from Admissions and Financial Aid

Participants can:

  • Bring a high resolution file to print at our ISL Lab.
  • Have portraits made by RIT faculty members, Clay Patrick McBride & Ted Kinsman
  • Sign up for Portfolio Reviews with a faculty member or current student.
