Who are we?

We are students within the Creativity and Invention Working Group working to break down the walls between disciplines and weave creativity into the classroom experience here at RIT.

What? Where? When?

We are holding a competition for you and your friends to design, build, and present a creative and novel approach to teaching college-level concepts to fellow students – almost all the rest is up to you!

We’ll give you a budget and space to put your idea together, help you show off your work, and give prizes for the best two entries.

Rules

  1. Apply with your team and ideas by May 1.
    • Teams must be comprised of 3-5 students.
    • (If you can’t find people for a team, sign up anyway, and we’ll help you find a team!)
    • We’re looking for diverse teams. This means your team should represent at least three colleges if you have a team of 4 – 5, or two colleges if you're a team of three.
  2. The concept that you chose to teach must be of college-level. You may submit multiple ideas to us, and we will let you know which ones will work.
  3. Each team will be provided with a total of $60 in spendable gift certificates with which to furnish your supplies.
    • You will have to pick a time prior to the competition that accommodates your entire team in order to purchase your supplies.
    • You will be accompanied by a judge to assure fair-play.
