Post-Tenure Mentoring

WHAT ABOUT LIFE AFTER TENURE?

Post-Tenure Mentoring is a two-year project, supported by an ADVANCERIT CONNECT grant, to:

  1. Gather information about, and case histories of post-tenure mentoring nationwide, and create an annotated bibliography of relevant literature.
  2. Develop and institute a department post-tenure mentoring program with emphasis on work-life balance and career planning for female faculty and promotion to full professor for all faculty.
  3. Disseminate what we learn through this website, a blog, and a series of workshops for the RIT community in 2014-2015.

Principal Investigator:  Patrick M. Scanlon, professor and chairman of the Department of Communication, RIT
