RIT School of Communication 2018 Outstanding Emerging Alumni Award

The RIT School of Communication Outstanding Emerging Alumni Award

Is awarded annually to honor an emerging alumni who has achieved great success in their first ten years after graduation. Awardees have shown outstanding service to RIT’s School of Communication. Recipients model principles of leadership to current students in the school. Nominations will be reviewed by School of Communication Faculty and a representative from Alumni Relations. Nominations will be accepted no later than March 1, 2018.

Nomination Requirements

  • Graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology’s School of Communication
  • 10 or fewer years of professional experience
  • Has excelled personally, professionally, and is an outstanding role model for current RIT Communication students
  • Is recognized as an emerging leader by the community or professional organization
  • Has sought and attained increased responsibility in personal and volunteer roles relevant to the field of Communication, Advertising & Public Relations, or Journalism.
  • Award preference is given to alumni in the field of Advertising & Public Relations, Communication, Journalism, or other relevant field
  • Awardee must be able to attend award ceremony on Wednesday, April 18th, 2018

Nomination Form

Alumni may be nominated by faculty, staff, alumni, or members of the RIT community. Nominations must be submitted to The Director of Alumni Relations Erin Burd via email ( by 5:00PM on March 1st, 2018. Awardees will be notified by March 20th and invited to attend the School of Communication Luncheon Wednesday, April 18th, 2018.
