Your Journalism Advisor
Upon acceptance into Journalism, you will be assigned an academic advisor, a full-time Department of Communication faculty member who assists in class selection, while ensuring you meet all the requirements for graduation. You should meet with your advisor regularly—especially prior to each quarter’s registration period.
Advisors in the Department of Communication are available to help you take advantage of RIT’s many forms of student support: workshops and one-on-one help with developing good study and note taking skills, maximizing efficient time management and more. Your assigned advisor will be listed on your fall schedule and can easily be found on the Student Information System web page.
