“Lush Sweden” Manager Delivers Kern Lecture

Ryan Looysen, Retail Leader & People Developer of Lush Sweden, a UK-based handmade cosmetics firm, delivered a talk, “The Social Media Paradox: Narrow, Deep, and Dangerous,” as part of the Kern Speaker Series, on March 27.  Mr. Looysen drew on his background in social media and brand management to discuss the role that social media plays in communication strategy.  He also visited classes in Communication and in Marketing to share his insights into social media, website operations, and retail strategy, and met with a number of Communication & Media Technology MS students to discuss their work.  The Kern Lecture Series is hosted by Jonathan Schroeder, William A. Kern Professor in Communications.
