DOC Offers Opinion Writing Course Spring Semester

October 23, 2013

Everyone should participate in Greek life. Colleges should mandate STD testing. University students should be required to teach a class.

Say what?!

Learn how to write persuasive op-ed pieces and first-person stories in the spring semester course: Reporting in Specialized Fields: Opinion Writing (COMM-361-01). Assistant Professor Hinda Mandell will lead students in exercises to gauge their areas of expertise and authority. Writing prompts will help students come up with compelling first-person stories fit for publication. Reporting and Writing 1 (or Newswriting I under the quarter system) is the pre-requisite for enrolling in Opinion Writing (COMM-361-01). The class meets M/W/F at 8 a.m. Questions?
