For information about admission to Professional & Technical Communication, contact the RIT Admissions Office directly.

Many PTC students transfer to PTC from another college or university. Some students transfer to PTC from two-year schools, some transfer to PTC from a four-year university and others from one of RIT's academic degree programs. In most cases, transfer from some other degree program (both within and outside of RIT) to PTC is easy. PTC attracts transfer students from diverse liberal arts degree programs as well as such professional programs as business, computer science and information technology, science and photography-film-video. Transfer students from most associate degree programs may normally expect to complete their requirements for the BS degree in PTC in two years. For assistance with transcript evaluation contact the College of Liberal Arts, Office of Student Services.
