Liberal Arts Concentrations

Descriptions and Advisors

The Liberal Arts Concentration consists of three upper level (400 or 500) courses in a specified area of study. Concentrations may be disciplinary or interdisciplinary. Some concentrations require a prerequisite that must be taken in the core requirements. Each concentration is different. It is essential to follow the requirements as stated.

Students must choose one concentration and take three courses in that concentration.
This advanced segment of the curriculum permits students to concentrate in some depth in an area of personal intellectual interest. Courses in the concentration may also be taken as electives.

Under the interdisciplinary concentrations, courses will be listed from more than one discipline.
