I.B.4 Credit for Non-Traditional Studies
When a student requests academic credit from the College of Liberal Arts for non-traditional studies and learning acquired from experience, the Associate Dean will direct his/her request to the appropriate academic department. This department will decide whether or not to grant credit. If the student contests the academic department's decision, the Associate Dean will first counsel the student to discuss the matter with the appropriate faculty. If the issue remains unresolved it may be brought before the Liberal Arts Curriculum Committee for its decision at the written request of the student who will state in detail the reason for the request.
