In conjunction with WWF: Save the Tigers Fund, we would like to have a Tiger Cage event to illustrate the exploitation of the species. This activity will consist of participation from notable RIT faculty/staff and students. We have reached out to the following people. Included in this list is the group member who has a personal connection with each faculty/staff/student member and who will be primarily responsible for ensuring that member's participation and comfort. SG Mental Health Town Hall

Onondaga Land Rights/ Two Row Wampum Film Screening and Discussion

On October 30, from 6-8pm, the Department of Sociology/Anthropology is sponsoring a film screening and discussion, with free snacks!The film: Guswenta: Renewing the Two Row Wampum, examines a 2013 canoe paddle down the Hudson River to New York City for the purpose of raising awareness about the Two Row Wampum Treaty with the Haudenosaunee Confederacy. During the discussion that follows, guest speakers will talk of their experience during the 2013 event, and will also discuss the ongoing Onondaga Land Rights struggle here in upstate New York.The film is captioned and sign language interpreters will be present to interpret the event.(Thursday, October 30th, 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM -Student Life Center)
