Professor Walker has a Ph.D. in developmental psychology from Cornell University. Her research interests include early childhood interventions, language development, and family and dyadic interactions. She has experience working with families as both a researcher and as a community volunteer. Professor Walker is currently developing an early childhood intervention program for families and at-risk children. She recently received an RIT Boot Camp Seed Funding Award and a Strategic Acceleration of Research for Tenure Track Faculty (START) Grant to facilitate her research. She is the director of the Rochester Institute of Technology Child Study Center.
