Class of 2005 Updates!

The start of the second academic year for the class of 2005 is soon beginning, and for most it means a continuation of practica at the schools they were placed in the spring. A few of the second year students, however, will receive new placements. Nevertheless, whether it's a new practicum site or a continuation from last spring, all second year students will have a more "hands on" position in the schools. Second year students can expect more direct interactions with teachers and students, limited assessments, and actual case consultations with teachers, and individual or group counseling with students.

Coursework for the second year students during the 2002-2003 school year focused on assessment, counseling, and consultation. This year the second year students will have courses in research methods and statistics to prepare them for their coming thesis and project development.

It promises to be an exciting and challenging year which will bring the class even closer to doing their internships and going on to obtain their master's degree and Advanced Certificate in School Psychology.
