- Dr. Hauser is a clinical neuropsychologist. He provides neuropsychological, psychological, psychoeducational, and forensic evaluations for deaf & hard-of-hearing individuals in his private practice. In the interdisciplinary field of Deaf Studies, Dr. Hauser studies the separate effects of (a) social, linguistic, and cultural influences on growing up in a predominantly visual and Audistic world and (b) the influences of being deaf on cognitive organization
- Dr. Hauser founded the Deaf Studies Laboratory (DSL) in 2002. He now supervises deaf, hard-of-hearing & hearing students who obtain hands-on experience developing, running, and analyzing experimental psychological studies.
- Dr. Hauser is now a researcher in the Department of Research and Teacher Education. His primary duties involve: (a) studying the impact of Audism and Deaf Identity on academic achievement and behavior; (b) developing instruments to evaluate ASL receptive skills; (c) investigating deaf individuals’ inner voice and its relationship with literacy development; and, (d) testing the psychometrics of psychological assessment instruments when used with deaf & hard-of-hearing individuals. He has published four articles in peer reviewed journals and three book chapters.

- Professor DiStefano has been working as a school psychologist in the Brighton Central School District for 30 years. He currently works at Council Rock Primary, a building for grades K-2, but has experience working with all grade levels.
- He has spent over 15 years running a summer therapeutic day camp program for emotionally disturbed children at Crestwood Children’s Center.
- Professor DiStefano currently serves as president of the board for the Greater Rochester School Psychologists. He is also a board member for the Advocacy Center of Rochester.

- In June of 2007, Professor Harvey retired from the Greece Central School District after 31 years of working as a school psychologist. While a psychologist in Greece she wrote and received four grants from Imagine Mini-Grant, the Office of Professional Development, which serves to encourage and support projects that improve the quality of education for all students through innovative and creative approaches. The following programs were created and delivered:
- SUPER Kids – a school wide stress reduction program for elementary students
- Peace Builders – a school wide peer medication program
- Regarding a Student: Use of a Neurodevelopmental Framework within the School (a staff development program to help teachers and support staff at West Ridge Elementary School have a common understanding of the neuropsychological underpinnings of learning)
- Uncovering a Piece of the Puzzle: The Role of Scotopic Sensitivity in the Reading Process
- Additionally as a school psychologist, Professor Harvey organized and facilitated book students for the Greece CSD’s School Psychologists, which include the following

- The Neuropsychology of Writing, 2005/2006 School year
- Responding to Intervention: Principles and Strategies for Effective Practice, 2006/2007 school year

- This year, in retirement, Professor Harvey is teaching at RIT, working as a consultant at the Harley School, and volunteering time to help with parent education for Parent Advocates for Students with Special Needs (PASSN).
