The School Psychology Program will be reviewing for new applicants beginning January 1, 2010. Applications should be received by February 1, 2010. Admissions Criteria

  • Admission to the program is based on the following criteria:
  • Successful completion of the baccalaureate degree at an accredited college or university
  • Cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or above
  • Completion of at least 18 semester hours in behavioral sciences with a grade of B or above
  • Completion of the prerequisite courses (see below)
  • Minimum Graduate Record Examination (GRE) scores
  • Evidence of professional commitment and potential for developing effective relationships with children, youth, and adults:
    • Letters of reference
    • Student essay about goals, related experience, and future plans
  • Individual interview (waived in exceptional circumstances)

  • General Psychology
  • Child/Adolescent or Developmental Psychology
  • Abnormal Psychology
  • Elementary Statistics
  • Minimum of 18 semester hours in Behavioral Sciences

Limited graduate assistantships are available through the School Psychology Program. Furthermore, partial scholarships based on merit are also available. Please contact the department for additional information. The following are a sample of graduate assistantships offered:
