Professor Robertson is a Lecturer in the departments of Criminal Justice and Sociology/Anthropology at RIT. He is currently completing his Ph.D. in Sociology at SUNY Buffalo. His research interests are in crime, law, deviance; race, ethnicity, and immigration; and the African diaspora with a focus on immigration/migration and crime. His dissertation research examines the relationship between immigration and crime and more specifically how social networks and identity influence perceptions of deviance/crime, the criminal justice system, and involvement in crime and delinquency among young West Indian males.
